Acts of service
Practical help can say “I noticed what you are carrying.” It is most useful when it answers a real need rather than guessing what another person should want.
What you might notice
Think of a task that felt lighter because someone helped. Was it the time saved, the initiative, or feeling that you did not have to manage everything alone?
A practical starting point
Make a concrete request: “Could you handle dinner on Thursday?” If offering help, ask first. A clear agreement is usually easier to act on than “You should help more.”
Keep the distinction clear
Help should not become a debt or a test of affection. Preferences do not justify unequal responsibilities, control or pressure.
